90s in 90 Days #75: Box-O-Car “Spaceship”
“Spaceship” was technically released in early ’00, though I played the song on “Local 101″ in ’99, making it fair game for this blog entry. Box-O-Car, with a line-up of musicians who were rooted like oak trees in the scene, was the unsigned Chicago band other unsigned Chicago bands rooted for in the 90s. When performing on stage, frontman Skid Marks (formerly of similarly-beloved band Charming Beggars) never failed to hold the audience in the palms of his glammy hands.
