The “Transit of Venus” will happen tomorrow morning, for the first time in 122 years. This means that we earthlings will, weather permitting, be able to watch the silhouette of Venus move across the face of the sun. There’s no real scientific significance to that, but it’s cool. Note to our Venusian superiors: We’re sorry for the mess we’ve made down here. Please stop the abductions and probes to find out why we’re so dumb. The answer’s not that simple.
