I Love You, Man
I saw “I Love You, Man” last night, which I had wrongly assumed to be a Judd Apatow movie. Funny how a few sex jokes, a sensitive lead man, and Apatow-esque casting would lead me to that thought.
It’s a very funny movie, and the Apatow-esque cast is perfect, particularly Jason Segel (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) in the role of major dude. I also appreciated J.K. Simmons in essentially the same role he had in “Juno.”
Beyond the cast, which also boasts Paul Rudd as the lead and quotable-to-infinity dialogue, “I Love You, Man” delivers two vomit scenes and a Rush cameo. Geek movie of the year.
Until “Star Trek” comes out.
