Mo’s Bacon Bar: It’s bacon in a chocolate bar.

I ate a Mo’s Bacon Bar  yesterday.  Made by local gourmet chocolatier Vosges, the bar proudly claims to be made with applewood smoked bacon, alderwood smoked salt, and deep milk chocolate.  Vosges is also responsible for marrying  chocolate to other less-than-orthodox candy bar ingredients like mushrooms and chipotle chiles. But bacon…mmmmm…bacon.  I couldn’t resist the concept of the salty, porky, goodness of bacon lovingly folded into the sweet and creamy kickassness of chocolate.  The verdict?  It was magnificent.  It was expensive, too.  The bacon bars ran $7 apiece at Whole Foods.
