90s in 90 Days #18: The Bad Examples “Not Dead Yet”


These days, singer/songwriter/guitarist Ralph Covert is best known as the “Ralph” in “Ralph’s World,” a band designed exclusively for li’l rockers.  Back in 1990, Covert’s group the Bad Examples was one of the more well-known bands playing out around Chicago.

Helping the band become familiar was local station WXRT, who put their muscle behind the Examples’ song “Not Dead Yet.”  For a refresher:

Over the course of 90 days (not consecutive, though I’ll try), I’ll be offering up a capsule look at something about Chicago music from the 90s.  It could be a radio memory.  Thoughts on a song, show, band, or album.  Maybe a review aided by hindsight.  Whatever it is, it’ll be original content just for this site, and not found in my book.
