90s in 90 Days #66: Wesley Willis documentary

90s in 90 Days #66-Wesley Willis documentary

After writing about Wesley Willis for 90s in 90 Days (http://blog.jamesvanosdol.com/2009/07/20/90s-in-90-days-50.aspx), I received a lot of email from people who simply didn’t “get” what Wesley Willis was all about.  It’s hard to imagine that there’s an entirely new generation of music fans who don’t know about Wesley from first-hand encounters.  Back in the 90s, he was one of Chicago’s most visible and talked about music-makers.

I pulled this video off YouTube.  It should explain everything:

90s in 90 Days

Over the course of 90 days (not consecutive, though I’ll try), I’ll be offering up a capsule look at something about Chicago music from the 90s.  It could be a radio memory.  Thoughts on a song, show, band, or album.  Maybe a review aided by hindsight.  Whatever it is, it’ll be original content just for this site, and not found in my book.
